Lauren “LAla” Peterson

An about me through Nick’s POV…

Let me take you on a heartfelt journey into the world of Lauren – a remarkable soul whose presence brings peace, calm, and kindness to anyone she encounters. Whether interacting with coworkers, family members, or the waitress at our cherished Jersey restaurant, Lauren has an extraordinary ability to uplift hearts when they need it most.

In the symphony of her words, it's as if she meticulously analyzes the needs and feelings of those around her, creating an atmosphere of understanding. I once promised her anything to keep that captivating smile on her face, and she, in turn, challenged me to step beyond my comfort zone, fostering my relationship with God and offering me grace when I often struggled to give it to myself.

Lauren is not just capable but a master at her craft, effortlessly navigating challenges at work, constructing strategies from scratch, and leaving a lasting impression on Big Shots in various companies — definitely big names you would recognize. I've had the privilege of witnessing her in these moments, humming to herself as she weaves her creative magic and turning ideas into greatness.

Beyond her professional prowess, Lauren is a creative genius who dedicates her talents beyond a paycheck. From volunteering to aid the homeless in NY and Miami to orchestrating a beautiful celebration of my dear Aunt Lisa's life and legacy, she embodies a shining light fueled by love, strength, faith, creativity, grace, and empathy.

Born in the Kendall area of Miami to an amazing family, who in their own right all have their own talents, I’ve deemed Lauren and her family the “Kendall Jacksons” — an homage to their creativity and local impact to their community.

She’s going to tell you she had me floating in the ocean and jumping off waterfalls in the rainforest when I couldn’t swim. This is all true and under normal circumstances quite foolish but let me tell you… the power of love and faith is real.  However, as I’m writing this I’m laughing to myself about some of the disparities in our relationship. While I’m swimming with crocodiles in the Yucatán (ask her about this) her biggest change is that I got her to try and eventually love mushrooms.

She comes from a family of meat eaters and some occasional carnivores so I guess mushrooms are a flex but I’m still working on her with tomatoes.

Lauren is squeamish at the sight of blood and I often have to bandage her up anytime she needs it, which is fine — but she requests the Doc McStuffins theme song to play while I’m patching her up and before she denies it, there’s video evidence to prove it. Despite her uneasiness when it comes to injury, she managed to literally pop my patella back into place when I dislocated my kneecap. It’s one of our favorite stories to tell.

Every day, I am impressed by her, and I am eternally grateful for the divine timing that brought her, Tilly, and me together.

Thank You, Jesus!
